Biocolor Blyscan Glycosaminoglycan (sGAG) Isolation & Concentration Pack (100 samples). DESCRIPTION: Isolation & Concentration reagents for use with Blyscan Glycosaminoglycan Assay. Blyscan Glycosaminoglycan Assay is a quantitative colorimetric dye-binding method for analysis of sulfated proteoglycans and glycosaminoglycans (sGAG). It can be used to measure total sGAG content and can also to determine the O- and N-sulfated GAG ratio within test samples. The assay uses 1,9-dimethylmethylene blue dye employed under conditions that provide a specific label for the sulfated polysaccharide component of proteoglycans or the protein free sulfated glycosaminoglycan chains. APPLICATIONS: Cell culture derived material, soluble sGAGs from fluids (ex. synovial fluid, urine), fibrous and hyaline cartilages, tissues (ex. arteries, heart, lung, skin, tumors). Soluble sGAGs may be assayed directly, solid materials will require a preliminary papain extraction.

The QuickZyme Human MMP-7 Activity Assay is an enzyme activity immunoassay that enables you to specifically measure both endogenous active MMP-7 and total active MMP-7 (following activation of pro-MMP-7 on the plate with APMA). It can be used for the measurement of MMP-7 activity in various biological samples, such as conditioned culture media, tissue homogenates, serum, plasma and urine. This 96-well plate format assay is based on the QuickZyme technology, using a modified pro-enzyme as a substrate, which upon activation is able to release color from a chromogenic peptide substrate.
